Cause and Effect

Cause and Effect

By Jewa Lea, DC

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

                                                ~ Thomas Edison

You are more than the sum of your parts. Your body is a delicate balance of structure and function; so there is no way to treat only a portion of the body. Your body will compensate in some way and thus, the game of symptom chasing begins. Illness never occurs spontaneously or haphazardly. It is the result of minute stresses over time. If the stresses are prolonged and consistent, they can cause a disruption in the natural flow of energy and nervous system communication in the nerves, spinal cord and brain – and symptoms occur. Disease and dysfunction in the body are effects, not the cause. To find the cause, we must look a little deeper.

The brain is a transducer in that it converts environmental stimuli into biological behavior.

                                                          ~ Fractal Biology, Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D.

Your nervous system is the governing system in your body. Every cell in your body is linked to the nervous system and communicates through it. Cells that make up every gland, organ and muscle in your body communicate via the nervous system and when interference causes this communication to become muddled, disease processes and symptoms follow. Chronically tight (hypertonic), painful muscles are the result of altered impulses from your nervous system. Gland (pituitary, pancreas, thyroid, adrenal, etc.) and organ (stomach, intestines, etc.) dysfunction is a result of altered impulses from the nervous system that in turn alters their output (for the glands) and function (for glands and organs). As Dr. M. T. Morter, Jr., the innovator of Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (BEST) stated, “Nerve interference is stress-induced, memory retained and motor (nerve) expressed.” So, despite what you might believe or have been told, nervous system interference is the cause of dis-ease.

Most people that come to a BEST practitioner are in some discomfort they consider a crisis. As a BEST practitioner, I look to facilitate the correction of the cause of primary interference in the body, permitting structure and function to normalize and allowing the body to heal itself.  By removing interference in the nervous system using this hands-only, light touch procedure, the body enters an optimum state to heal effectively.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

~ Clarke’s Third Law, Sir Arthur C. Clarke

A couple of weeks ago, I treated a woman who, for years, had chronic pain. When she got off my treatment table in tears; she could not believe that her pain was not just diminished, but gone. She could not believe that it did not involve heating it, icing it, rubbing it, exercising it or electrically stimulating it (all of which she had tried with limited results previously). Her comment was “It feels like magic!”  I get similar comments quite often and it reminds me of Sir Arthur Clarke’s 3rd Law. BEST is advanced technology in helping the body heal itself.

Stop chasing symptoms and treating effects. I invite you to address the cause using BEST technique and heal from the inside-out.
